NO LONGER ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST.
THE Y20 IS excited to present the Youth Priorities Initiative (YPI):
A program inviting youth around the world to participate in Y20 2020.
Check out our open call for videos and stay tuned for the talk shows coming soon! #WhatWouldYouSay
VIDEO OPEN CALL ⌵︎
So here’s your chance… What would you say to the leaders of the world if they asked YOU:
What do we need to know to support young people around the world?
You know best what goes on in your city, in your country, in your part of the world. You know what is important and needed, in order to help young people around you. Show us what we need to know!
Share your ideas, insights, stories, people that we really need to meet – anything that could help the Y20 Delegates represent you while making truly effective policies.
Make a max 3 minutes video, in any kind of style you want. The more creative, the better. All we ask is that it addresses a topic in 1 of the 3 priority areas on this year’s Y20 Agenda:
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU, BESIDES POTENTIALLY CHANGING THE WORLD?
The top 15 videos will, of course, be featured on Y20 channels and circulated on other international platforms. The makers of the top 15 videos win invitations to the virtual Y20 Summit 12-18 October, where their video will also be presented. And of course you can also bring a friend or colleague.
THE rules ⌵︎
Are you 18-35 years old? Living on this earth? Do you have access to a video recording device? And do you have something to say? Then you’re good to go!
Your video needs to be under 3 minutes and address a topic from the 3 priority areas.
It can be filmed with a phone or with professional equipment, it can be an interview or an animation, stop-motion, music video, mini-documentary, fictional story or a combination of sorts. Or who knows; something completely different; this is entirely up to you. Only you know the best way to get your message across. Surprise us!
THE selection criteria ⌵︎
The main evaluation criteria are inspirational impact, topical urgency and creativity.
We are calling for creative videos that inspire! Videos that give fresh or surprising insights into one of the priority areas. Or videos that highlight excellent examples or ask important questions on these topics. Submissions will also be judged on creativity in storytelling and on how the content is visualized.
